6-month contract: Interim communications manager for Liberty Global Operations, responsible for employee communications is a very challenging environment (reorganisation with parallel outsourcing project reducing employees from 4500 to 1000 in 11 countries), setting up internal communications tools and positioning new senior management team.

  • Working closely with HR to compile and coordinate communications to employees to explain and gain buy-in to reason for change and new strategic direction of the Operations organisation
  • Compiling and presenting communications plan for local (NL) outsourcing announcement and next steps to local Works Council and gaining approval
  • Successfully implemented new communications tools and channels across 11 countries that previously worked autonomously
  • Design, population and publishing of newsletter (Newsweaver), intranet SharePoint / extranet JIVE
  • Ghost writing for Vice President Operations in monthly blog (newsletter)
  • Drafting and compiling strategic PPT deck “This is Operations” for both internal and external use
  • Positioning of new leadership team
  • Coordination and management of leadership roadshow across 11 countries
  • Positioning of Vice President in new role after being promoted to manager’s position – Level 3 from Liberty Global CEO (town halls, video interviews, webex)
  • Creation/ implementation/management of Ambassador Program to assist Leadership team with cascading strategic messaging and feeding back temperature gauge of local employee engagement
